Apple Resellers to Deploy ‘Quiet’ Server Racks from
Tech Data U.S. and GizMac
CLEARWATER, Fla. (June 7, 2007) – Tech Data Corporation today announced it has been named the
first distributor for GizMac Accessories LLC XRackPro line of rack-mount enclosure cabinets for
Apple Xserve servers and RAID storage devices. Designed to reduce noise by as much as 80 percent
compared to standard server and storage racks, the XRackPro series is ideal for Apple users in small
offices, A/V production studios, corporate creative departments, classrooms and other environments.

Apple-centric solutions our resellers create for a wide range of end users,” said Brian Davis, Tech

Through its AppleAdvantage Specialized Business Unit (SBU), Tech Data will distribute 4U, 6U, 12U
and 25U XRackPro cabinets. The XRackPro line features a sound-dampening and rugged structural
design; secure, locking glass door; rolling casters for enhanced mobility; and quiet fans to keep
components cool. In addition to Apple Xserve server and RAID devices, the XRackPro can house
other rack-mounted devices. The XRackPro also accommodates most servers, storage arrays,
routers, switches and other devices from leading manufacturers like HP, IBM and Cisco. This enables
resellers to deploy an extensive array of networking, storage, telephony and professional A/V
solutions in a wide range of vertical markets.

XRackPro is part of the facility’s Apple solutions demonstration, which replicates a graphic design
workstation. The TDSolutions Center is available to Tech Data customers free of charge. Apple
